a little snippet of spu.

so i put this little video together for a friend who is also attending
SPU
this fall, but couldn't make it out for a visit.

i am pretttttyyy mediocre at this kind of stuff, but hey, it gives you a better idea of the campus.

enjoy!

spring brizzzake.

ahh, gotta love that special week following a break from school...

but wait a minute. this spring break was actually really AWESOME,
so i can't complain.

hmm, where do i start...

IMG_8713
i got to road trip it up to hume lake with my pal danielle this past weekend to see some friends
and kind of freaked out at the sight of snow on these grounds.

we laughed, watched confessions of a shopaholic, and had an asian feast.
so i really couldn't have asked for a better way to end this break.

but sdxitnasoefgd.....let me back up.

on monday, my mom and i boarded a plane to seattle, and then to spokane (on a sketchy little propeller plane that seemed like it shouldn't be flying around anymore), to check out
whitworth university.

beautiful school. great professors. friendly students.

IMG_8610
and LOTS of these green things.

IMG_8614
yes, and these fine whitworth folk love JESUS too. holla!!

although spokane may not be the ideal place to live (in my opinion...no offense spokanians!), it's got some pretty cool features.

IMG_8623
like downtown.

IMG_8631
and this fun waterfall.

then wednesday comes along and we find ourselves on another shady plane, back to seattle. after doing some tourist-y things, i realized how much i LOVE this city.

and here's why.

IMG_8655
pike place market fricken rules.

IMG_8669
sure it rains a lot, but it is BEAUTIFUL when it's clear.

IMG_8664
PIGEONS!
just kidding...that's weird. this is just another shot of pike place.

IMG_8674
and another one.

IMG_8673
and people are just more creative in seattle.

and then i really fell in love on thursday,
when we arrived here:

airports.

currently waiting in the cute, little airport of spokane (which is nothing like LAX, hence why we arrived an hour and a half too early for our flight). but as we're about to board our third plane in two days, i realized that i've developed a pretty severe case of people watching.

all these folk rushing around, boarding their planes, talking on their cell phones, typing on their mom's iPads (okay that's just me), sharing one last embrace until finally parting ways...........i can't help but wonder where they are all going. what is their life like? are they happy? do they know how much they are loved?

it's times like these when i am most reminded of ephesians 5:15-16.

"be very careful, then, how you live - not as unwise, but as wise, making the most of EVERY opportunity, because the days are evil."

we have so many opportunities to share the love of God with people...but in these kinds of situations, where do we even begin?
