favorite songs of march.

so i thought it might be kinda cool to post five of my favorite songs each month. so here is...

M A R C H ! 

some are songs that i just discovered within the past four weeks, and others are songs i've known and loved for a while, but for some reason felt like listening to over and over again, hundreds of times.

so, let's do this!

1. "I Only Dream of Places Now"

these guys all met by playing on the worship team at biola, which is prettyyy darn cool if you ask me. i heard them for the first time when my band played with them last weekend and i was completely blown away. i haven't heard a band this creative and musical in a long time.
definitely some anathallo influence in there.

2. "Put a Penny In the Slot"

Fionn Regan

just a good ol' irish folk tune. makes me want to melt when that female vocal harmony kicks in.




3. "Mountain Laurels"

Rogue Valley

i seriously owe pandora radio something big for showing me this band.

4. "Come on! Feel the Illinoise!"

Sufjan Stevens

no description needed. this song just rules no matter how many times i listen to it.

5. "Sticks and Stones"

Jonsi

this song makes me space out and daydream about the mission trip to kenya i will be going on this summer. kind of weird, but if you listen to it you might understand what i mean.
